A nice little Sunday...Maybe Bed Bath & Beyond, I don't know if we'll have enough time...

I have the best husband in the world. : )  He works full time, but every "week-end" that he has off, he has a "day off" and I have a "day off."  On our days off the other one takes care of all the responsibilities of the house and kids and the one who's day off it is gets to do whatever they want!  lol.  I know this may sound like foreign territory to some, but it really works for us, and I'm very appreciative that my husband is so understanding and giving.  The only draw back that I've noticed so far is that it is hard to "get things done" on this system because when it's your day off you don't want to "take care of business" or run errands or whatever, you want to relax!  And when it's the other person's day off there's no opportunity to get anything done.  Extra stuff that is, that wouldn't normally be taken care of.  Anyway, I've recently come up with a little solution that if he has an odd day off or a 3 day weekend then that will be a "To Do Day."  We'll all get up together and we'll both work on our 'to do' lists.  As long as one of us is going to work on something productive, then the other one will be on kid duty. : )  My husband's schedule is crazy, and this house with 2 little ones is crazy too, but at least this system seems to be keeping me a little sane anyway!
So, back to the point;  today was my day off.  Usually I spend my day sleeping in until about 10 or 11 and then vegging in front of the TV in our media room with my laptop on my lap.  Well, instead of all this joyousness, we all went shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond - yay...(that's not a real yay) lol.  Shopping with my 4 yo and 1 1/2 yo is like what's that word?  Oh, yes, Torture!  Long story short - the shopping trip was stressful and sucked, and we spent way too much time, and way too much money, but now we do have 2 windows beautifully dressed.  And we're also the proud owners of 2 new, identical stuffed pig toys - ugh, but I guess $20 was worth the 10 minutes peace and quiet at the end of our shopping marathon...
